The team at Accolade Advisory is looking forward to a leadership transition starting this quarter. David Fearing will be stepping down from his role as CEO and President. He will serve as a consultant to Accolade’s credit union clients as he prepares for a happy retirement at the end of 2025. JD Pisula has been appointed to be the next CEO and President of Accolade. JD assumed the role of President as of October and will take the helm as CEO in January 2025. Mr. Pisula is a familiar name to our clients as he has served as the Vice President of Strategic Advisory since 2019.
Mr. Fearing helped reshape Accolade’s operations to better serve its mission of providing sound advice and reporting tools to credit unions. He enabled the team to develop new services, deepen consulting relationships, and reach more credit unions around the country. As VP of Strategic Advisory, Mr. Pisula has played a huge role in deepening our consulting capabilities and enhancing our reach as balance sheet management experts within the credit union industry. His vision for the future sees Accolade continuing to grow and provide holistic balance sheet consulting to more credit unions.
“We are proud of the value we’ve provided to our credit union partners over the last 15 plus years. What started as essentially an outsourced bond trading desk for credit unions by our CIO Peter Gibson back in 2007, has led us to helping solve all sorts of balance sheet management challenges for our clients. Our consulting capabilities have had to keep up and we have a great core team for the future. I’d like to thank Dave for his guidance and astute financial acumen over the last 6 years, Accolade is undoubtedly set up for continued success thanks to his contributions.” – JD Pisula
JD has managed teams for the last 10+ years and was previously the Director of Investments for the State of Ohio before joining Accolade. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Denison University, a Master’s in Business Administration from The Ohio State University, and is a CFA charterholder.
