
John Staley
John Adolphus Staley IV is the founder, chief executive officer and president and also a director at Staley Capital Advisers Inc. Mr. Staley has been the chief executive officer at the firm since November 1996. He is also an investment partner at 3Point Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to founding Staley Capital Advisers, Mr. Staley had a 25-year career with Pittsburgh-based Federated Investors. He served as the chief executive officer at Federated Research Corp, from 1984 through November 1994 when he retired. Mr. Staley held various positions during his career including director, president and the chief executive officer at Federated Research Corp. and affiliated investment advisory companies. Upon his retirement he worked as a self-employed financial adviser from November 1994 to November 1996. Mr. Staley has been a Director at Superior Well Services, Inc. since June 2005 and is a member of audit committee, compensation committee, nominating and corporate governance committee of the firm. He is also a director of several private companies. Mr. Staley served as a director of Boron Lepore & Associates Inc. since May 1997 until 2002. He is a trustee emeritus of Duquesne University, the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, several other community boards and committees, and a member of the World Presidents’ Organization and the Chief Executives’ Organization. He is a C.P.A., licensed investment advisor and NASD Registered Principal. Mr. Staley holds a Bachelor of Science from the Duquesne University and an MBA in finance from the Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
