  • We are excited to share highlights from Eclectic Convergence 2024 at Cornell Tech, where our co-founder Aaron Holiday had the opportunity to sit down with Zach Shulman to have a very engaging conversation! During the conversation, Aaron delved into some of the most pressing and innovative topics shaping the future of venture capital and the tech industry, including: how Unified Governmental Control and its potential impact on the tech ecosystem, the pivotal role of software in venture capital, and how 645 Ventures has pioneered an outbound approach at the early stage, redefining what’s possible with software as a core part of VC operations, and how 645 has built a rigorous yet empathetic culture focused on learning, investing in its people, and delivering exceptional results. A huge thank you to Cornell Tech, Zach Shulman, Scott Belsky, and all the attendees who made this event amazing. 🚀  #EclecticConvergence #VentureCapital #Innovation #TechLeadership #645Ventures

⚡️ Love seeing Attention listed in Battery Venture's latest AI analysis, in such great company! My overall take on the intersection of AI and GTM and how most leaders should think about it: 1) Contextual Intelligence: Capturing the right signals from customers (visits, news, org changes, words from sales conversations), and generating the right insights out of those, to help you prioritize your pipeline. Our friends at Unify and Clay are doing an incredible job on the top of funnel! 2) Workflow Intelligence: Automating work out of those insights: writing the best possible copy based on those insights for your outreach, automating the updates of your source of truth (CRM, enablement content, etc.), alerting operators with what they need to know, at the right time and the right place, and much more.. In other words, taking action. 3) Predictive Intelligence: AI now forecasts buyer behavior and deal outcomes with incredible accuracy, helping teams to prioritize the right opportunities and preempt risks before they materialize. I haven't seen much movement there lately, and I've shown this new piece of Attention to a $500m ARR VP Sales this morning - he was blown away. Sorry for the self-promotion 😅 - but I'm extremely pumped - can't wait for what's next 🚀

Co-Founder and Managing Partner at 645 Ventures

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with my friend and host, Leah Solivan, on her podcast, BreakingPrecedent, where we dove into some defining chapters of my personal and professional journey. From my early days in New Orleans to finding my path in finance through my experience at Morehouse College, Cornell University, building Cornell Tech, and eventually co-founding 645 Ventures with Nnamdi Okike, this episode covers it all. 🌱 At 645 Ventures, we’ve built a data-driven sourcing model to identify founders at the earliest stages—an approach that has helped us manage over half a billion dollars in assets and reach an incredible 10-year milestone. It’s a story of taking risks, challenging norms, and bringing the “invisible” into the spotlight. If you're an emerging founder, an investor, or just curious about the world of venture, we encourage you to listen to this episode. Take a moment to tune in, and feel free to share it with anyone who might find inspiration in our story. 🎧 https://lnkd.in/eac7FiBM #BreakingPrecedent #645Ventures #VentureCapital #Podcast #DataDriven

645 Ventures 2024 Annual Meeting was an incredible milestone! We celebrated 10 years of the firm with over 130 LPs and nearly 300 attendees, including founders, VCs, and industry leaders who have been pivotal in shaping our journey as well as the industry. While our firm has been around for a decade, we were humbled by the opportunity to engage in conversations with VC leaders who have been building for over 20 years, such as Hemant Taneja (CEO and MD at General Catalyst) and Jeremy Levine (GP at Bessemer Venture Partners). We also celebrated Bill Lewis (Partner and a member of the Firm's Leadership Team Apollo Global Management, Inc.) with the firm's Cornerstone Award. A true highlight for me was interviewing Kim Lew (President and CEO of Columbia University Endowment), who shared invaluable insights into the ever-evolving LP landscape. Additionally, our colleague Vardan Gattani led a discussion on National and Global Security: Ground, Air, and Space Innovation with Brandon Tseng (Founder of Shield AI), Even Rogers (Founder of True Anomaly), and Scott Sanders (Chief Growth Officer at Forterra) were thought-provoking and timely. I also want to give a huge thank you to our team—Kelly Hardeman, Randi Jakubowitz, Pete Keenan, Stephen Lang, William Hess, Mendy Yang, and of course my co-founder Nnamdi Okike—for their hard work in putting on such a great event. Your dedication and attention to detail truly made this event one to remember. A heartfelt thank you to all our panelists, guests, and partners for making our 10-year anniversary and Annual Meeting a memorable and successful event. Here’s to many more years of growth and innovation! #645Ventures #VC #TechInnovation #10YearsStrong #AnnualMeeting #Founders
