Check out this great comparison! To separate or not to separate? With our innovative K3® r100 cup, the question becomes irrelevant! The K3® r100 cup is designed to separate itself during the waste disposal process — completely on its own, requiring no extra effort from the consumer. Plus, it’s always white or transparent, making it ideal for efficient recycling. To separate or not to separate? That is the question! 👀 The humble labels on yogurt cups are undergoing a wave of innovation, redefining how we engage with products and their journey beyond our tables. Each approach offers a unique consumer experience and varying sustainability metrics. 👉 First up: The Classic Pressure-Sensitive Label This label is a familiar face in packaging. It showcases the product well but isn’t designed for consumer separation. However, with the right adhesives, these labels can wash off in recycling facilities 🏷️ 👉 Next: The Full Coverage Paper Sleeve This option provides a consistent visual appeal, but here’s the catch: it’s not so easy to separate from the cup. As seen in the video, it can take some effort (and maybe a sigh or two) to remove, often leaving behind traces of adhesive/fibers 😮💨 👉 Paper Sleeve with a Pull-Tab This design enhances consumer engagement with a more intuitive removal process while still offering complete coverage. The drawback? Sometimes that pull-off strip decides to quit early 🥲 as you see in the video 👉 Finally: The “Click” Separation Sleeve “Click” separation sleeve that takes the convenience and engagement to next level while also minimizing adhesive usage 🙌 It takes much shorter to separate the paper sleeve from yoghurt cup still maintaining functionality. But there’s more to the story: Consumer behavior matters. Not everyone will separate components before disposal, which is why designs must ensure that unseparated items can still be separated effectively during collection or sorting. This safeguards cleaner streams. Labels may seem like small players, but they can be silent sales agents in the bustling grocery aisles. They can shape consumer experience and, increasingly, sustainability narratives. With evolving packaging regulations and a push for better circularity, the label you see today might be very different tomorrow. With new definitions of Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) on separate and integrated components, we may see more innovations in packaging components that upheld better circularity.

🌍 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘃𝘀. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 Did you know? Switching from glass to plastic packaging can lead to an 80% weight reduction! Why does this matter? PET’s lightweight nature significantly reduces CO₂ emissions during transportation—especially over longer distances. But that’s not all - the benefits of plastic packaging go beyond just sustainability: 👉 Quieter operations at filling stations 👉 Reduced risk of injury from breakage 👉 Improved workplace safety 👉 Exceptional product protection, especially with advanced barrier technologies Interested in learning more about the comparison between glass and plastic?
