As the latest milestone in our development, Inventev showcased its Power Export Module concept last week at the Advanced Clean Transportation #ACTexpo in Las Vegas on the new upcoming Zeus Electric Chassis, Inc. all-electric Z-19 chassis cab for work trucks and a CM Truck Beds body! The Module exploits the energy stored in electrified vehicles and makes it available on demand outside the vehicle at a commercial grade (75kW, 120/240Volts). Inventev is excited to be on the leading edge of new technology features enabled by vehicle electrification. Inventev is executing an off-vehicle proof of concept inverter in the Federal Transit Administration (FTA)’s Bus Exportable Power Systems (BEPS) standards development project (https://lnkd.in/gG4CPSDN) – furthering the FTA’s vision that new energy transit buses can become mobile power sources to enhance resiliency in critical situations or disaster zones. The Module provides another tool in the arsenal for fleets, municipalities, transit authorities and emergency coordinators to deal with situations, planned or unplanned, where grid power is not readily available. The Module makes any vehicle with high-voltage DC energy storage or generation more versatile and flexible. Additionally, the Module provides a viable alternative to diesel gensets, especially in zones where emissions or noise are unacceptable, or the grid is not present. It creates quick and easy access to power (without requiring a bi-directional charger) for remote locations or construction sites. We invite feedback on the Power Export Module concept and unique use cases. Follow along with the FTA BEPS demonstrations in Flint, MI and Alexandria, VA in the next 12 months: https://lnkd.in/gHS9cGfp #exportpower #V2X #emergencymanagement #gridresiliency
