Founder & CEO of MiniCorp | Building Bespoke Software & Products

Can an #AI assistant actually hack itself? 😬😥 Last weekend, I set myself a challenge of building an #AI assistant that would help a prospective client manage their appointments for our client, Sisu Clinic using OpenAI and #ChatGPT #4o. This week, I wanted to focus on the integration into Sisu Clinic's booking system, Phorest Salon Software. I set a few core functionality tasks for the AI; What are my upcoming appointments? Can you help me cancel an appointment? What services are available at a clinic? What Doctors are available at a clinic? What available appointments are there? We seem to be overwhelmed in marketing with people who think “it’s not the best product that wins, it’s the best marketed product”. And when they say “marketed” most of them mean advertised and packaged and promoted. That’s not true. It’s actually completely untrue. There are only two undisputed tactical facts. First, that there are only 4 essential / eternal Ps. Second, Product is almost always the most important of those Ps. That does not relegate Price or distribution or Comms to irrelevance. But we need to restore the product P as the most important marketing tactic. Yes, I know many marketers aren’t involved in product development. Most just do advertising. I feel bad for them. But that does not stop product development - and I mean that in both the sense of making new stuff and evolving and improving existing stuff - being an essential part of proper marketing. Elon is right. Right. Right. Here.

Reinventing Finance 1% at a Time 💸 | Scaling Digital Asset Infrastructure 🚀 | The only newsletter you need for Finance & Tech at 🔔linas.substack.com🔔 | Financial Technology | FinTech | Artificial Intelligence | AI

Elon Musk is saying the quiet part out loud here: “Spend less time in conference rooms and more time just trying to make your product as amazing as possible.” This is so simple yet so underrated. Take Shopify as an example. Back in January 2023, the e-commerce giant automatically canceled all recurring meetings with 3 or more people and urged employees to be very selective about adding meetings back. This eliminated 10,000 company events or the equivalent of more than 76,500 hours of meetings and has contributed to ~18% increase in finished projects in 2023 alone 😳 Remember - innovation thrives outside of the boardroom and Zoom meetings. P.S. check out 🔔linas.substack.com🔔, it's the only newsletter you need for all things when Finance meets Technology. For founders, builders, and leaders.

Video-first content production for B2B Brands - Castos Productions helps turn your company into a media brand.

Content Marketing in SaaS is dead... There's a new sheriff in town, one that drives high-intent buyers to your site. And the great news is you don't have to be on the "blogging hampster wheel". The magic is in Free Tools. At Castos we've created a handful of free tools for podcasters, and the success of those tools, the pages they're located on, has been amazing for attracting high intent visitors to our site. One of our tools, a free podcast cover art creator we call Dynamo (link in the comments below) has generated over 13,000 podcast cover images and quote cards since we launched it 18 months ago. Oh, and along the way, it's resulted in hundreds of new trial starts for our podcast hosting solution. All from a handful of hours of work. So, while AI is slowly eating SEO and Content Marketing, a new player in town is Free Tools (sometimes called Engineering As Marketing) where you offer a portion of your overall solution for free. Sure, optimize these pages for discoverability, because search traffic will come in from Google, but most importantly, that traffic is very high quality - converting to trials and paying customers at a much higher rate than most any written content you publish. We're very bullish on Free Tools as a form of marketing, and are investing heavily in this over the rest of the year. What kind of free tools, or Engineering As Marketing, have you done to drive trials for your SaaS product?
