I found this article on NPS scores to be quite intriguing. As a coach collaborating with multiple teams, we often discuss the role of NPS within a team's scope. Frequently, there's limited direct correlation or influence. However, the quote "no drop in the ocean feels responsible for the flood" resonates in this debate. Using data is crucial, with NPS among the metrics we rely on. Data-driven decisions can remove emotional bias, yet emotions often reveal the insights necessary for better decisions. This is where 'insights' come into play, but they don't always align neatly with OKRs, do they? If you're a UX designer, part of a product team, or a coach aiming for customer-oriented outcomes that benefit the business, how many "user-centric metrics, and, insights" are you incorporating in your planning and delivery process, and how effective have they been? Collaborate with design partners to identify and map out problem spaces to explore and opportunities to drive alignment and clarity. I admire how designers shape the future by reimagining the way we interact with the world. Josh Clark and Veronika Kindred at Big Medium bring up a Sentient Design notion, referring to adaptive, context- and intent-aware interfaces we're supposed to deal with now that AI is plugged into, well, my toothpaste 🙄 While it's early days, there's definitely something intriguing there. Really enjoyed this podcast - highly recommended to my product management network. It's a combination of a history lesson, great *practical* advice, examples from both Big Tech and FinTech, and no-holds-barred tough talk too. Great stuff from Melissa Perri and Lenny Rachitsky.
