Commissary Ordering Overview
Commissary ordering in Banker can be accomplished in several different ways. Which of these ways is chosen by the facility depends on many factors including the facility's policies and procedures, staffing levels, budget, size of the resident population, availability of the appropriate hardware, telephone network capabilities, security considerations, etc.
Each ordering method manages the amount of money a resident has available to spend and ensures that residents with restrictions and inventory items with restrictions and/or limits are handled properly. The methods currently available in Banker for commissary ordering are the following:
Orders can be hand-keyed by an operator using the Commissary-Order feature.
Orders can be marked by the resident on a scannable menu and then scanned by an operator.
Orders can be entered by the resident on a resident kiosk.
Orders can be keyed by the resident on a telephone.
