Best solo holiday providers in 2025 – and the worst

Our survey of nearly 20,000 holidays reveals the companies that don't rip off solo travellers with sky-high supplements
Guy HobbsPrincipal researcher & writer

Solo travellers often get a raw deal, paying through the nose for less luxurious rooms. But the best-rated provider in our survey doesn’t charge single supplements at all.

You may not have heard of One Traveller, an independent operator run by a husband-and-wife team that specialises in solo travel for the over-50s. Yet it is the best-rated solo holiday company in this year’s survey, and the only provider with five-star customer service. Its fully escorted tours will take you everywhere from Albania to Costa Rica.

Those looking for poolside relaxation will find affordable solo holidays from Jet2Holidays, which keeps single supplements down and even offers a discount for solo travellers.

At the other end of the table, solo specialist Just You disappointed, with a customer score of just 68%.

You can compare customer scores and prices in the table below and, for extra peace of mind, all the companies that have our Which? Recommended Provider status guarantee that they won't apply surcharges in 2025 – so the price won't go up after you book.

How we researched holiday companies

In August/September 2024, we asked 12,119 Which? We only reported on companies in any given category when we received at least 30 relevant responses.
