Eurofins Acquires Dutch Food, Water Tester Bureau de Wit.

17 June 2016 - Luxembourg-based bioanalytical testing company Eurofins Scientific (PAR: ERF) (EUFI.PA) has acquired The Netherlands-based food and water testing laboratory Bureau de Wit B.V., the company said.
The existing management of Bureau de Wit will remain in place and continue to work on the growth of the Bureau de Wit business, now as part of the Eurofins organisation.
Eurofins said that Bureau de Wit's existing competencies are complementary to its portfolio of services.
Bureau de Wit operates a laboratory in Almere, and employs a staff of 64, generating annual revenues in excess of EUR 5m.
The company provides food and water safety and hygiene testing, with a strong reputation in the hotel and catering sectors due to its innovative, client-friendly tools and state-of-the-art client portals.
Eurofins Scientific provides food, environment and pharmaceutical products testing.
With over 23,000 staff in more than 225 laboratories across 39 countries, Eurofins offers a portfolio of over 130,000 validated analytical methods for evaluating the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products, as well as for clinical diagnostic.
