It’s been 16 months since my brother in law transferred 6 figures into his Wirex account, NEVER to be returned!! (Since September 2023).
Paul Matveev (founder) refuses to answer and continues to promote this fraudulent company.
How is this corrupt company able to do what they do best (steal) as one only needs to read the huge number of negative reviews.
Time to expose them on the media I think.
This is the standard BS response they post to everyone- 16 months and no response & no refund!!
I warn everyone- DO NOT touch this company (read the reviews) only ‘new’ customers are happy ‘now’ give them time and they’ll know unfortunately.
Now they answer with yet another COPY & PASTE & say they can only communicate with the owner of the account, that’s why I’m posting this, he has contacted support too many times to mention & no responses, no action taken, these thieves have still got his money.

I've been a Wirex customer for nearly three years, and while the product still works for me, there are persistent issues that never seem to improve. If you're considering Wirex, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Customer Support Decline
Three years ago, Wirex had live chat support. Agents couldn’t always resolve issues, but at least you could check on your case in real time. Now, support is email-only, and responses can take days—if they come at all.
Cashback Isn't as Rewarding as It Sounds
The Elite (entry) membership costs €30 per month and promises 4% cashback (up to 8% if you stake a big amount of WXT—which, honestly, I wouldn’t trust storing with them). But here’s the catch: the maximum cashback per transaction is capped at 500 WXT (currently worth a whopping €1.33).
So, let’s do the math:
Spend €100? You still get just 500 WXT (€1.33)—nowhere near 4%.
Spend €1,000? Guess what? Still just 500 WXT (€1.33).
Call that a “reward”? More like a bad joke.
No Compensation for Service Failures
When Wirex switched card providers, their cards were completely unusable for nearly six weeks. Despite this, they continued charging for Elite subscriptions. No cashback, no card usage, yet still full payment for a service that didn’t work. Refunds? Discounts? Formal apologies? Nothing—just vague, overly positive emails about how things would be fixed "soon."
Wirex Promotions: Moving the Goalposts Whenever They Feel Like It
In January 2025, Wirex ran a promo: "January Cashback Rewards Boost Promotion", claiming that if you buy over €500 in crypto, you’d get increased cashback in February. I met the requirement by the official deadline of January 31st, even taking screenshots of the promo to share with my partner—because, you know, I actually expected them to stick to their own rules.
But guess what? On the afternoon of the last day, Wirex quietly extended the promo until February 9th. No warning, no heads-up—just a sneaky edit, meaning that when I made purchases on February 1st, the increased cashback wasn’t applied.
Only later did I realize they had moved the finish line after the race was already over. Any announcement? Nope. A simple notification? Forget it. Just a silent, shady change that left customers who actually followed their original terms completely screwed over.

Wirex may work for some, but these experiences highlight poor customer support, misleading rewards, and unreliable service. If you're thinking of joining, be aware of what you're getting into.

I deposited money to Wirex in December 2024 and since then my account is restricted. I can't withdraw back to my bank, I can't withdraw back to my card, I can't send euro, I can't send bitcoin. It is February 2025 and my money is still missing, support is least helpful I've ever seen. This is a nightmare platform to deal with.

Do not use Wirex. They have now had my account frozen for more than 4 months while they are supposedly processing ID documents. I have raised the matter months ago with their "support" team, which mainly seems to consist of automated messages sent every couple of weeks saying that they are giving the matter attention. There is no indication that any human being has ever looked into my problem.
I have approximately £750 funds locked in my Wirex account, the actual amount goes up and down daily as crypto prices fluctuate but I am neither able to trade nor withdraw any of my funds. During this period my account has had a value as high as £1000 but I was unable to touch the funds, it has since dropped by 25%, effectively meaning that the company has prevented me solidifying gains of £250 or more.
If you use Wirex they can block access to your account at any moment and there does not seem to be a thing that you can do about it. There is no physical location that you can complain to, there is no email address or telephone number that you can call. There is only an electronic ticket system, with no indication that any human ever receives a message.
Do not use Wirex.

Exchange is very good in app.
There is some issue on ios app or maybe all version of application I can not order more than one card and I can not change my card pin on app.
And there is no way to chat with support on app.

I am highly disappointed with Wirex. It has been six weeks since my £2,100 has been blocked, and I have received no response from customer service. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, my issue remains unresolved. This kind of service is unacceptable, and I urge Wirex to resolve this matter immediately.

Just scammed me out of over 10000 don't use i used the Wirex card to buy goods turns out the merchant lied the goods were fakes now Wirex refuses to let me open the dispute saying "I got the goods" but firstly the merchant refuses to let me return the goods secondly I never got 95% of the goods because customs obviously sly took them for being FAKES! and thirdly THEY ARE FAKES like wtf. I obviously have rights for a dispute.

I'm still in shock after what Wirex did to me, a company I thought was serious....
24. October I got a message that my account was closed.
Then I get some questions l had to answer, which I did in a serious way. And l also asked for the reason about closing my account?
At first they said something like " because of my safety " and then " proof of a crypto wallet document " l ment l did sending the right paper together with about 10 other documents.
But the discussion stopped there, because when I tried to answer it I got the answer back that my referral number was closed...
Then they told me that they wanted to send me about the same l had invested, to my bank, but that's 4 mount ago?!? (Still no money).
And to be very exact, l invested in XRP, and of course Wirex have to pay me back with the value XRP have the payback day! Or to be 100%right, at $3(see under). The sad thing, for me personally, is that I invested in about 8300 XRP with a plan to sell when reaching $3, then I would get the money l need for a big Parkinson treatment. (The XRP value was about $3,3- some weeks ago).
