Q:
Is this a good place for kids to eat?
A:
Yes, I took my 10 year old twins and 12 year old son for brunch and they enjoyed themselves.

Is it possible to make a reservation for tomorrow at 10am for 3?
A:
Yeah of course you can but to be honest, for Sunday brunch especially you would have to book it about two weeks in advance. I, also, book it in the RESY app. That's your best bet. I have a reservation for three tomorrow but ironically I can't make… more

So so good.
Had the egg breakfast. Eggs were perfectly seasoned. Potatoes, too. Bacon, chef's kiss.
I'm a Brooklynite who happened upon Harlem with 3 eager friends. May not return to this side of town any time soon, but it'll be on my mind just in case I come up here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yasmine B.Bronx, NYNov 25, 2024
Blvd bistro is by far one of my fav places in Harlem.
The service is okay. Could be better. The music is always a blast, it is loud, but keeps you dancing in your seat while you wait for your food.
Now the food is where it's at!!! The catfish is simply amazing with the perfect crisp. The potato salad is surprisingly decent and I don't eat anyone's potato salad. The greens are good too but could use more flavor or smoked necks to elevate the flavor. Drinks are also good and leaving you feeling nice.
The place is always packed so it is advised to have a reservation during busy hours. But may be okay to walk in, but with a small wait. The ambiance of the restaurant is a bit rustic and soulful. A convenient restaurant to enjoy authentic soul food that isn't mediocre.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - T K.Manhattan, NYNov 23, 2024Updated review
First off we looked forward to coming to Blvd Bistro because of the hype and hoped to have an enjoyable experience...but, sadly that was not the case. I had come many years back when they were at the old location and it was good.
This time to be honest I was disappointed. The biscuits arrived dry and cold. The cornbread was very good. On weekends the items on the menu (entree including sides) are preselected for you and you cannot substitute so if you don't want the sides they have on the menu that go with your meal, you'd have to pay for each additional item.
Honestly my meal was just ok. The DJ, oh and also the Mac and cheese left a lot to be desired! I won't go into every detail but I'll just say we will not be returning.
Service was good though.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 2Apr 11, 2015Previous reviewBlvd Bistro is a hidden Gem.
My daughter took me there last night for dinner. I must say the Food is great, service great and ambiance is cozy and comfortable.
Owner and staff very engaging with the guests. They care about the customer experience. That's good business. I will definitely be back soon. - Jan 6, 20251 check-in
Blvd Bistro on a Friday night is definitely a vibe. First things first, make sure you have a reservation and even with a reservation, it's possible you'll have to wait like we did. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our reservation but then had to wait about 30 minutes total before we were seated. MY friend and I both ordered the catfish, potato salad and collard greens and they were all every good. They were seasoned will and though I did put some hot sauce on my catfish, I probably could have had it without. The night we went there was live music and I loved that the crowd was into it. I want to go back again on a weekend for their karaoke brunch.

The vibe here is always amazing and I frequent here a lot . Today I decided to get a different dish as my lobster meal that I always got for brunch is no longer on the menu. I ordered the steak , eggs and home fries . We honestly waited about 40 minutes for our food. My home fries , steak and eggs were super salty I couldn't finish it . It tasted like someone not only over seasoned it but also sprinkled salt on the finished product as I tasted the salt crystals while eating it. The steak was a great portion overall . My biscuit with the butter and jam was amazing as always. Would have been an easy 5 start rating if my dish wasn't so salty . Other than the food the 4 stars is for the customer service that is always the bomb , the music as the dJ is always great and my drink in which I ordered a nat turner . Still love Blvd but I guess I'll have to find a new dish to my liking .

I always order the crab Benedict ( however , I do eat some if my bf's food ) . Music is always great . The owner and his wife are so pleasant & entail great professionalism . I went one Saturday evening with a friend . Restaraunt machine wasn't working to make froze's , however the owner went above and beyond to accommodate us . This was really appreciated . This is definitely my most favorite brunch spot .

A very fun (but very loud) restaurant with great comfort food
Ambience: this is definitely a party spot! We came on a Saturday and there at least 3 different birthday parties being hosted here. They have a DJ which is very cool but VERY loud! I'd not come back unless it was a party bc it is hard to speak over the loudness
Service: good service
Food: I loved the friend chicken sliders! I'm a bit surprised that there were only 2 sliders included. The biscuit basket included 4 biscuits and I enjoyed the honey butter. The friend chicken dinner included turkey collards and potato salad. I didn't like the potato salad bc I found it tart. The fried chicken was good and very filling'
Price: overall reasonable priceHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 102627Oct 23, 2024
This is hands-down, the best breakfast in Harlem. But please note they do not have chicken and waffles on the menu. The catfish breakfast is my favorite and so are the blueberry pancakes, but everything is delicious. Also just be warned. There may be a bit of a wait on the weekends but it is totally worth it. Also know that the restaurant is very loud!!! There is a DJ on the weekends for brunch. The music is amazing. Just be prepared for everyone singing and dancing along.

I love this spot for good soul food. They play good music and it's pretty loud so if that's not your vibe I would try another spot.
I got the fried chicken dinner. It comes with collard greens and potato salad. They do not let you switch out your sides which is a major turn off in my opinion.
The potato salad isn't good and you have to purchase other sides. It's pretty wasteful if you don't like potato salad.
The yams were yummmmy and the fried chicken and collard greens were as well!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Jun 19, 2024
We had a reservation for a Sunday brunch and still had to wait about 25 minutes to get seated. What's the point of the reservation if you won't even get seated on time? Especially since there's only a "15 minute grace period."
The service once inside is great and there's a live DJ on the weekends playing the tunes. It's great if that's the vibe you're going for, but not if you're trying to have a conversation.
Onto the food, I had the fried chicken & biscuits. Biscuits were good but the fried chicken was still a bit raw.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 2 - Sep 7, 2024
Came to Celebrate a birthday on a Friday night, there was a mini hiccup with our reservation but it was handled in a quick professional manner. The manager of the restaurant was very welcoming and attentive throughout the whole night. Our waitress was very nice and got all our orders correct and there wasn't a long wait time for the food. I ordered the loner crab cakes and it was AMAZING !! The beef short ribs was AMAZINGGG tender and flavorful and friend of mines had a biscuit sandwich very moist and flavorful honestly everything was a 10/10. They had a live band who was very entertaining everyone enjoyed themselves. OHH ADDITIONALLY the drinks were very very good
