Where is my data stored?

We understand that your data is important to you, and regulatory requirements might require specific data locations, so we make this easy with 15+ locations to choose from.

Is Capcade a virtual data room?

Capcade does offer an intuitive data room that’s as good as market leading VDRs, but this is just one piece of the collaboration puzzle. We offer so much more.

What file types does Capcade support?

For online real-time creating and editing, we have integrated with MS Office Online, allowing users to work asynchronously or in real-time on Word, Excel and PowerPoint files within the platform. For storage, managing, access, sharing, we support all common file types from PDF to PNG and everything in-between.

Who uses Capcade?

Capcade is used by organizations of all sizes and industries that work with documents, data, or tasks collaboratively with other entities. We provide the surface area between businesses, connecting the outputs from internal processes across entities. Our current focus is on regulated industries such as financial services and government but Capcade is flexible enough for any industry.

How much space/storage does my entity get?

We view document storage as a commodity, we won’t charge you per gigabite or per sheet like traditional data room providers. Our focus is on providing a central hub for your opportunity or project. Each fund, transaction or development project having a workspace for teams to come together to achieve a shared goal. There is no limit to the file storage space within a workspace.

Are there any limits to how many users we can invite to collaborate with us?

No. Invite as many internal or external collaborators as you need!

What is your uptime SLA?

99% of the time.

Can our entity request new, custom-built features?

We love getting feedback from our users with ways we can improve and enhance the platform. This feedback can be logged directly in the app as and when it arises, and our product team will take it into consideration for our product roadmap.

Platform setup

How simple is Capcade to implement/set up?

Capcade is an online web application that is simple and easy to set up, it only takes a few minutes to register and setup an environment. Registration simply requires creating a password and entering a one-time pin, and then you will be successfully logged into the platform. Invite team members to join your workspace, give them the required permissions they need and start collaborating almost immediately.

Your entity can be registered and working on the platform in less than a day!

Do I need to bring my IT team and developers in?

No. We pride ourselves in our no code flexibility. The platform is simple, straight forward and intuitive to use with a user-friendly interface, built with the end-users in mind.

Having said that, we are happy to work with your IT colleagues if there are any questions around data security, API access or other advanced topics.

What implementation and post-implementation support is available?

The platform is user-friendly and easy to set up, and our dedicated onboarding team will guide you through all the steps you need to take to get the system ready for all your team and counterparties to use.

After implementation, if you, your team, or your collaborators have any questions or need any help, we have a library of help articles, resources and videos in our Help Center and you can chat with our AI assistant, Aila, who is trained on all of our support content to answer any question you have, 24/7. Our support team is also reachable via the in-app support chat, and we usually take just a few minutes to respond!


Security, access and permission management

Is our (and our counterparty’s) data safe?

Absolutely. Your information is protected by the highest – banking grade – security standards.

  • Current certifications: International IT and security certified for ISO 9001, ISO 27001, SOC-2 and SOC-3. ISO 27017, ISO 27018 and ISO 20000-1 (Pending).

  • Encryption: Compliant with federal information processing Standards issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology

  • Data residency: Localization of data in over 15 locations and GDPR and CCPA data privacy compliant, and is certified for EU-US DPF, UK extension to EU-US DPF, and Swiss-US DPF

  • Data storage: Our data storage partners are certified in SOC-1, SOC-2, SOC-3, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, CSA, FFIEC, FIPS, FISMA, HIPAA, HITRUST CSF, and Cyber Essentials Plus

How is user identity access managed?

Capcade features multi-factor authentication for all its users. As the first factor, users must enter their corporate email addresses and a alpha-numeric password, and this can be supplemented a second layer of authentication (two-factor authentication). For the latter, users can make use of authenticator apps of their choice, or email verification codes.

Further security protocols such as Single Sign-On (SSO) are available to enterprise customers. This allows users to conveniently use their company's Azure, Okta or Google credentials to efficiently log in to Capcade.

Can anyone registered on Capcade access my entity (and our counterparty’s) information?

No. Only users you and your teammates invited to collaborate with you, with the necessary permissions, will have access. Read more about permission management on Capcade here.
