We have officially opened our Help Nursery in Moreton Bay! An exciting step forward in expanding our social enterprise footprint and creating more meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability. With Moreton Bay’s rapid growth, this new site will support local procurement of high-quality plants while training and employing people with disability in the horticulture industry, helping them take the next step into their employment journey and towards greater independence. This site expands our current Nursery based at Mitchelton where we stock, grow, source, and nurture an extensive range of wholesale plants - from ground covers and natives to rare and exotic varieties. A special thank you to the Federal Leader of the Opposition and Member for Dickson, The Hon. Peter Dutton MP, and the City of Moreton Bay Councillor Cath Tonks for joining us at this special event. We’re also grateful to the City of Moreton Bay Trade and Investment Team and Cedar Glen for their invaluable partnership in making this project a reality. Watch the highlights and see how we’re growing both plants and opportunities! IntoWork Australia Brenden Brien #OneDoorToOpenMany #VibrantFutures #HelpNursery #SocialEnterprise

We’re a social enterprise helping people with disability lead fulfilling and independent lives.
About us
We are a Queensland-based social enterprise helping people with disability lead fulfilling and independent lives. Over the past 50+ years, we’ve created an integrated network of services to provide people with disability the essentials, routine, and stretch they seek in life. Whether it’s employment, learning, living arrangements, community involvement, or anything else in between – we work alongside people to help them achieve the things they set out to. We do this with the help of our social enterprise businesses, organisational partnerships, and DES and NDIS service streams. We like to think of it as an ecosystem of opportunity. We strive to create an environment where employees openly embrace our mission and vision and can confidently and comfortably live our values every day. We encourage all team members to have ownership of their roles and the impact they have on the lives of people with disability. If you’re looking for a rewarding career with an innovative and diverse social enterprise business, Help could be for you. With our products and services you can create lasting value for your organisation and employment opportunities for people with disability. We can also support you to become an inclusive employer, and see for yourself that inclusion is an asset. We’re actively seeking philanthropic support and partnerships with organisations that share our values and vision, to collectively strengthen the impact of our services. Contact us to explore how we can customise the ideal corporate partnership for your organisation. From site visits and staff volunteering to disability sector speakers, workplace assessments on disability employment readiness, and action planning, together, we can tailor a partnership that makes a real difference.

How Help supports business operations while creating opportunities and making an impact Managing logistics takes time, but it doesn’t have to take yours. At Help, our Supported Employees play a key role in streamlining business operations - just like they do for ForestLearning by carefully packing learning resources, ensuring they’re ready to reach educators across Australia. By working with our social enterprise, businesses not only save time so they can concentrate on their mission but also contribute to meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability. It’s a win-win: businesses get reliable support, our employees gain rewarding work opportunities, and together, we contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future. At Help, we know how much of a difference tailored support and guidance can make in helping people with disability achieve their employment goals. Take Hugh, for example. When he joined Help, he had a clear goal: to become a qualified locksmith. Our team worked closely with him to build his confidence and job-ready skills, ensuring he was prepared for the journey ahead. To start, we found him a customer service role, giving him hands-on experience and plenty of opportunities to engage with clients. Once he gained the confidence he needed, we contacted Inclusive Employer Bretts Trade Timber and Hardware and crafted a role in their locksmith division that was right for Hugh while also supporting the business’ needs. Additionally, we approached Mas National to explore apprenticeship opportunities and ensure a clear pathway for his career progression. With the ongoing support of a Help In-Work Support Mentor, Hugh transitioned smoothly into his locksmith position – setting him up for the next big step. The result? A seamless journey that led to Hugh securing his locksmith apprenticeship! By working together with his employer and Mas National, we helped turn his career goal into reality. Every person's employment journey is unique, and your support should be too. At Help, we shape opportunities around individual goals, ensuring individualised support at every stage. Watch Hugh’s journey in the video below and see how the right support can open doors. If someone you know is looking for individualised employment support, reach out to us today! #OneDoorToOpenMany #SuccessStories #DisabilityEmployment

The importance of Supported Employment in building confidence and skills! At Help, Supported Employment is about providing a safe and supportive work environment where people with disability gain confidence, develop skills, and prepare for the future they want. Through our person-centred approach, our teams work closely with supported employees to work towards achieving their goals while nurturing their potential and guiding them through the process. Every task completed, skill learned, or milestone reached is a step closer to open employment opportunities. Mitchell is a shining example of this journey in action. As he worked in our Supply Chain and Dispatch teams, he flourished, developed new skills and built the confidence he needed to achieve his employment goal to join our manufacturing team – further strengthening his passion of working with his hands and building products. This, in turn, nourishes his confidence and skills even more as he prepares to move to open employment in the field. Stories like Mitchell’s, along with Ben, who is also preparing for open employment, highlight the power of supported employment in creating pathways to fulfilling careers. By focusing on individual strengths and providing tailored guidance, we’re helping people with disability take meaningful steps into competitive job markets. At Help, we don’t just open doors - we ensure the journey through them is one of growth, achievement, and independence so people with disability under our care can open as many doors as they want after that. #SupportedEmployment #OneDoorToOpenMany #InclusiveEmployment
