Getting started with BuildBee

There are several options to connect your 3D printer to BuildBee. You should start by using BuildBee Desktop as a host, to go completely remote you can also create your own BuildBee CloudDock by flashing the latest image or by installing he BuildBee Octoprint plugin. All options are here https://buildbee.com/download
First login, then follow the same flow you would in the browser to send jobs to a printer hosted by BuildBee Desktop, BuildBee CloudDock or BuildBee Octoprint plugin. The Android app does not currently work as a host for your printer, however we have this working internally. Let us know if you would like to see this feature.
From the My Account settings drop down you can select “my presets” to add new presets for material or print profiles. You can even paste existing preset configuration variables from poular slicers like Slic3r, PrusaSlicer, Cura and others and BuildBee will translate it.
“Ready” means the printer is avaiable. “Offline” means the printer host isn’t talking to our servers, it could be that the host is turned off or not able to communicate on the network. “Printing”, “Slicing” and “Cancelling” all mean the printer is active. “Locked for Maintenance” means the printer has been locked by the owner and wont respond to any cloud print commands. Other printer states can be found here
Open BuildBee from any device with an available camera, navigate to the printers list and select the printer you want to monitor. Follow the prompts for “Connect Video Stream”. You will able to view the video stream from any other device that has access to that paired printer. This only consumes bandwidth while there is active viewers.
Start by adding a model to the layout tool, in the row of tools along the bottom of the screen select "Split". Adjust the position and angle of the cutting plane and click "Confirm Split"
The layout tool gives exact sizes in mm and a human relatable size, eg "the size of an egg".

Go to the "My Account" drop down, select "translate" and select your language. Please let us know if we can improve any translations. translate
