BDNA Corporation is a company based in Mountain View, California and provides Global Technology Inventory solutions and also leaders in the Data as a Service industry.[1] Constantin Delivanis founded the company in 2000.

BDNA aims to provide a comprehensive, accurate view into an organization’s IT infrastructure. The results aim to drive a number of projects and processes forward, including Windows 7 migration,[2] vendor audits, true ups, app compatibility and software licensing. The company changes data into understandable and manageable information that can be viewed and assessed by IT professionals. They developed the world’s largest catalog of IT product information, with over 14 market data points.[3]

The company founded and created Technopedia, which is the world’s largest categorized repository of information on enterprise software and hardware.

Overview[edit]

Since the company’s foundation in 2000, they have concentrated in introducing various services to the global IT industry.[4] Between 2005 and early 2007, the company received $32.5 million in two separate rounds of funding.[3]

The company announced that it would be integrating the BDNA Inventory to BMC Atrium CMDB in 2007. The idea behind the project was so that customer could populate their BMC Atrium CMDB with inventory of networked technology assets across the enterprise, while also maintaining and spotting discrepancies in the system.[5]

In 2011, it was announced that BDNA would join Microsoft’s System Center Alliance Program. During the same year, the company received $3.37 million in Venture round funding.[6]

Rod Trent was announced in 2012 as the company’s Director of Product Marketing, who was previously the CEO of myITforum.com.[7]

The decline in the use of Windows XP saw the company create the Microsoft Master Series. The webinars focused on assisting IT professionals with Micrsoft migration.[8] Also in 2013, the company was included in Gartners Cool Vendors in Procurement and CLM report.[9]

In 2014, the company announced that it has been awarded Best in Class for Integration Solution by ITSM Review.[10]

Technopedia[edit]

BDNA created Technopedia, which is said to be the world’s largest categorized repository of information on enterprise software and hardware. It was introduced so that data center managers who are procuring, servicing or managing IT assets, can view or research names, facts and data points about their hardware and software. The database, which is provided by BDNA and also managed by the company, has over 450,000 hardware and software products listed.[11] Technopedia is used and accessed by some of the largest IT companies, including Oracle.[12]
