ISAAC UK & Ireland Conference 2025

ISAAC UK & Ireland Conference 2025
Filling the Void

Saturday 15th March, 2024
St. Michaels Centre, Bristol

Join us for an unmissable event, exploring addiction, recovery and the Christian faith

Gather together with like-minded Christians from all backgrounds as we explore what it looks like to walk with people recovering from the many faces of addiction.

Our theme ‘Fill the Void’ recognises the times we are living in. To quote one of our Keynote Speakers Andy Partington, “How did we get here? And how can we find freedom from addiction? Addiction today is not just about drug or alcohol abuse. It’s about gambling addictions, porn dependencies, workaholism, and internet addictions.”

We invite you to come and encounter the overflowing heart of God which fills the void in our hearts, communities, projects and churches with His glorious hope.

Who is this conference for?

If you are a Christian with a heart for people in addiction or recovery this is the conference for you.

You may work or volunteer in a church, housing or homelessness project, rehabilitation centre, prison, church-based outreach, medical setting, detox centre, community based program, or be in ministry. You may be in recovery yourself or supporting a friend or loved on their journey.

Trudi Makepeace picture

Trudy Makepeace has a remarkable story of transformation. A former addict and ex-offender turned minister, missionary and author.

Her first book Abused Addicted Free is about her life journey overcoming abuse, addiction and crime. Her second book Ministering to Addicts was written to help others minister to those in addiction, and for churches and organisations that are willing to open their hearts and doors to those stuck in addiction.

Trudy has also worked as a support worker and manager of a drug rehabilitation home. For the last seven year she has ministered in a thriving work as an Evangelism and Outreach Pastor and organising community events. Her ministry is marked by compassion and passion, with an emphasis on hope, healing, freedom, with signs wonders and miracles following.

She is an ordained minister with Elim Pentecostal Churches and a partner with CFaN Evangelism Alliance.
