Raphaël
CEO
Raphaël is a data science expert, entrepreneur and CEO of Qucit. He has always been passionate about understanding the world through mathematical modeling and concerned about environmental protection.
Raphaël studied at the ENS of Lyon and obtained a PhD in Theoretical Physics on complex systems. He then worked as a teacher-researcher at Arts et Métiers de Bordeaux, working on CO2 storage to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 2013, he left his academic position to create Qucit and participate in making cities more sustainable.
Raphael is also a co-founder of the theatre improvisation association "Restons Calmes", a black belt in taekwondo, and has made more than 5000 trips in various self-service bicycle systems.
Hassène
CTO
Hassène is the Chief Technical Officer at Qucit and an expert in distributed systems. He is responsible for our cloud architecture and ensures with our backend team that it remains both highly available and scalable.
He holds two degrees in computer science engineering from the National School of Computer Science in Tunisia as well as from the Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux.
Outside of work, Hassène enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and street photography.
Marie
VP Sales & Customer Success
Marie is responsible for business development at Qucit, but her number one mission is to ensure that our customers get the most value from Qucit Bike. She joined Qucit for its mission to make cities more livable, efficient and sustainable.
Before joining Qucit, Marie worked in the US, Spain and India in various technical fields (telecom, electronics, ...). Passionate about mobility and urbanism, she then created an association, Urbanovacion, to identify innovative mobilities around the world and dedicated the year 2016 to a documentary on South American mobilities.
Besides her passion for travel, Marie loves to cook (and rather spicy!).
Paul
Front-end Engineer
Paul is a full-time hacker and full stack developer. At Qucit, his mission is focused on front-end development to improve the user experience and user interface. The goal is to find the most user-friendly way to explore the application's features. He holds a master's degree in software engineering from the University of Bordeaux. In 2013, he developed CoralScrum: an open source project management tool for Scrum.
He worked for Atos as a software engineer developing the website of the National Institute of Industrial Property. Paul is a creative person using Gimp, Blender 3D and drawing from time to time. A musician at heart, he started learning piano at the age of 5 and continues to play today.
In his free time, he reads Manga and watches Anime to discover the Japanese culture.
Michał
Back-end Engineer
Michał is a backend developer at Qucit. He joined the team because he has a keen interest in urban planning, modern city design and urban mobility. Being at Qucit, he would like to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life in cities. His missions within the start-up consist in developing the backend of our products: designing and maintaining databases, REST APIs, ensuring their reliability and availability and creating test scenarios. He mainly works on Qucit Bike.
Before joining Qucit, Michal studied Electronics and Telecommunications at Poznan University of Technology (Poland) and at Télécom Bretagne in Brest. He also worked as a software tester in the field of robotics and speech recognition in Paris.
Outside of work, Michal likes to be aware of everything that is happening in the Bordeaux metropolis - no investment or new development will go unnoticed! In his hometown (Poznan, Poland) he is also a member of an urban planning association whose aim is to promote good urban planning and mobility policies. For more than ten years he has been an active participant in the international forum on urban planning and architecture: Skyscrapercity.
Elise
Back-end engineer
Elise is a back-end engineer. She joined the team because she is convinced that technology, especially Artificial Intelligence, can become a major asset in dealing with urban issues and making life better. She is in charge of the data analysis and visualisation service, which provides tools to ensure the quality of the data fed to predictive models and extract relevant and actionable statistics.
Before joining Qucit, she studied Computer Science at the Enseirb-Matmeca engineering school in Bordeaux. She also traveled abroad for research internships, first for a study of movement prediction using machine learning in Japan, then in a Natural Language Processing lab in Polytechnique Montréal, Canada.
Outside of work, her hobbies include reading, movies, japanese animation and video games.
Thomas
Data Scientist
Thomas is a data scientist at Qucit. He joined the team for the challenge of modeling and predicting mobility and well-being processes in an urban context. Responsible for our Qucit Bike solution, Thomas is working on the design of predictive models for bicycle demand in cities as well as on the design of optimization software for bike-share rebalancing.
Before joining Qucit, Thomas studied geology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, and then did a thesis and a post-doctorate where he modeled the fluxes of COS, a molecule that allows us to know much more about the carbon cycle.
In his spare time, Thomas is a multi-tasker, passionate about ornithology, photography, sports and scientific popularization.
Aïda
Software Engineer
Aïda is a software engineer at Qucit. She has joined Qucit as an intern in data engineering, motivated by founding solutions to sustainability related problems while conciliating her interest for data transformation and data organization. She is also interested in Green IT subjects.
Before joining Qucit, she studied computer science at the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC) and was specialized in data mining. In a previous 6-months internship, she improved her skills in full stack development at Amadeus, one of the World's Top 15 company and leader in the market of softwares for the travel industry.
Outside from work, Aïda loves to take part in different associations to initiate herself to new fields and meet people. she also loves to cook, read and practice watercolor painting.
Thomas
Business Developer
Thomas is a Business Developer at Qucit, working mainly on the business development of our product Qucit Bike. He joined Qucit because he wants to make the use of artificial intelligence, accessible to a large number of urban mobility actors on a global scale.
After several stays abroad, notably in Spain, Australia and Mexico, he settled in Bordeaux and obtained a Master's degree in International Marketing and Management before working as a Business Developer for a consulting company.
Outside of work, Thomas spends his free time playing sports: fitness, squash and soccer, but also reading, especially on subjects such as personal development, and traveling whenever he can!
Abdessamad
Devops engineer
Abdessamad is a Devops engineer at Qucit, he holds an engineering degree in Software Engineering and Telecom Networks from ENSEIRB-MATMECA. Before being hired at Qucit, Abdessamad was working at Atos as a Devops engineer and as a Fullstack software developer.
Today, his job at Qucit is to improve the productivity of the Dev teams, automating the integration and deployment processes, and at the same time ensuring a secure, stable and efficient IT infrastructure.
Outside of the Qucit project, Abdessamad spends his time playing sports (soccer, fitness) and participating in associative activities.
Karl
Front-end Engineer
Karl is a front-end engineer at Qucit. He works on the Qucit Bike dashboard and mobile application to improve interfaces and user experience.
After graduating with a degree in civil engineering and a few years of work, Karl finally found a passion for coding and began training through online courses and self-driven projects. Before Qucit he worked as freelance developer in New Zealand, developing mobile applications and his own web-based projects.
Outside of work, Karl enjoys going to the gym, bouldering, and working on his own projects.
Raphaël
Administrative and Financial Manager
Raphael is Administrative and Financial Manager at Qucit.
After graduating with a Master degree in Audit and Management Accounting, he has worked as Senior Auditor at Deloitte in Bordeaux. He then had a first experience in the financial management of a startup befort joining Qucit's team.
Raphael also enjoys sports and is a runner in his freetime, he also joined few thriathlons and plans to do more in the future.
Manon
UX/UI Designer
Manon is an UX/UI designer at Qucit. She works every day to make our product accessible and understandable for the widest audience.
With a master's degree in digital design, her previous experience in an IT company allowed her to focus on important UX issues and help to optimize projects. She works to resolve customer issues while adding her empathy and creativity to better understand client needs and offer original, relevant, and enjoyable solutions.
She joined Qucit to allow as many people as possible to use bike-sharing systems, making cities more pleasant and popularizing the use of bicycles and their significant advantages in the city.
Outside of work, Manon enjoys engaging in creative activities, whether it's drawing, music, photography, or sewing.
Mamadou
Business Developer
Mamadou is a Business Developer intern at Qucit. He is involved in reshaping urban experience. Through his role, he aims to develop strategic partnerships promoting intelligent urban mobility, thus contributing to the commercial development of our Qucit Bike product. After graduating from the University of Paris Nanterre with a degree in Applied Foreign Languages and International Business, Mamadou went to the University of Bordeaux Montaigne for a Master 2 in International Business.
In his free time, Mamadou enjoys sports (self-defense, fitness), reading books and cooking.
Youssef
Data Engineer
Youssef is a Data Engineer at Qucit. His responsibilities include developing and monitoring data pipelines, as well as managing predictive models.
After completing his first degree in Tunisia, Youssef continued his studies in Computer Engineering at the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard in France. He also had the opportunity to participate in exchange programs in Switzerland and Canada, where he worked on innovative projects related to transportation and sustainable mobility.
Outside of work, Youssef is passionate about gardening and enjoys growing his own vegetables and fruits. He is also interested in cinema, music, and Asian culture.
Mathilde
Public Affairs Officer
Mathilde is in charge of public affairs at Qucit and aids the sales team in finding new partners and customers.
A graduate of the University of La Rochelle, Mathilde first worked as a sales representative on the Southern European market at the Univers NOZ head office before her interest in urban policies, mobility and new technologies brought her to Qucit.
In her spare time, Mathilde loves to travel. She lived abroad for several years, notably in Spain and Italy, after which she spent several months discovering Latin America.
Auguste
Communication officer
Auguste is in charge of communications at Qucit as part of an internship. He is responsible for external communications (networking, writing articles and content on shared mobility), internal communications (updating graphics elements, customer webinars) ; and preparing events (trade fairs, commercial events) for Qucit.
He is studying for a Bachelor 3 in Marketing Communications at ESP Bordeaux, following a change of direction after two years of law studies.
Furthermore, he is passionate about sport, football, tennis and news.
Otmane
Back-end Engineer
Otmane is a Back-end Engineer with a degree from ENSIM Le Mans in Human-System Interaction, where he develops robust and innovative technical solutions. His expertise spans across various areas of computer science, with a particular affinity for Python - a nod to his name which means "Snake Man". Passionate about web development, he finds balance in sports as a Real Madrid supporter and expresses his creativity through art and DJing.
Anass
Back-end Engineer
Anass is a back-end engineer at Qucit. As part of the backend team, he develops technical solutions and contributes to product improvement. With an engineering degree, he started at the National Institute of Posts and Telecommunications before continuing at ENSEIRB-MATMECA. Passionate about sports, he divides his time between ice skating, football and video games.
Mathieu
Senior Advisor
Matthieu is a Senior Advisor (and investor) at Qucit. From 2010 to 2016, Matthieu was Executive Director of New Cities Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to create a better urban world for all by fostering urban innovation and entrepreneurship. In this capacity, Matthieu oversaw the Foundation's strategy, fundraising, research and day-to-day activities.
He has led projects around the world on topics such as public transit, e-health and urban finance. He has played a key role in the design of the Foundation's events, including the New Cities Summit and Cities on the Move (with Google X). Previously, he worked for the World Bank and the United Nations, serving Afghanistan and the Middle East. Mathieu is a graduate of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and the London School of Economics.
He is a dual citizen of France and the United States and has published articles in The Economist, Design Mind, the Fondation pour la recherche stratégique, Les Clés de Demain, the French Almanac of International Relations and Le Monde d'aujourd'hui. Mathieu sits on his neighbourhood council as well as on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations. He is the proud father of two mischievous little boys.
