GOVIND BALLABH PANT UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY
Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is an institution of higher education that offers courses in agriculture. Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated it on November 17, 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University or UPAU, and it became Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 in memory of the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, statesman, and Bharat Ratna recipient Govind Ballabh Pant. It lies in the campus-town of Pantnagar in the district of Udham Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand. Its researchers were responsible for the Green Revolution in India.
