In addition to an application, admis... sions procedures require students to have: * A high school diploma or GED * Completion of a pre-entrance PSB Aptitude Test * Eye examination * Physical examination * Three professional references * FBI background check The program consists of three levels, each 17 weeks in duration. In level one, you’ll learn: * Personal-vocational relationships * Community health * Body structure and function * Nursing fundamentals * Care of adult patients Level two includes education in: * Maternal-child health * Obstetrics, pediatrics, and growth and development * Care of adult patients, continued * Nursing fundamentals, continued At level three you’ll round off your education in: * Care of adult patients, continued * Nursing opportunities * Intravenous therapy * Geriatrics Students must also complete work for firsthand clinical experience. Cooperating agencies include Hazelton General Hospital and St. Luke Manor in Hazelton. Tuition does not include books, uniforms, malpractice insurance, or computer fees.
