Health Enrichment Center is a therapeutic massage school that teaches basic massage therapy technique and practice. Its academics provide hands-on training in the classroom and patients in one of HEC's on-site clinics. The center offers the Therapeutic Massage Diploma Program, a 600-hour course (500 in class hours and 100 online hours) designed to give students a broad understanding of massage therapy. The curriculum includes the following subjects: * Swedish Massage * Medical Massage ... * Reflexology * Asian & Energy Methods * Deep Tissue & Trigger Points * Special Populations Massage Scheduling for the diploma program is flexible. Health Enrichment Center offers only a 12 month completion time program (no longer an 18 month program), with three start dates throughout the year (Spring-April) (Winter - February) and (Fall - September). Financial aid opportunities at Health Enrichment Center include state grants and private assistance. The Michigan Rural Rehabilitation Corporation and Lapeer County Bank & Trust are good options for student loans. Eligible students can apply for an interest-free tuition payment plan, as well.
