HUMAN MILK BANKING ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
The Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA) is a professional association for supporters of non-profit donor human milk banking. HMBANA promotes the health of babies and mothers through the provision of safe pasteurized donor milk and support of breastfeeding. HMBANA values clinical excellence, ethical practice, community education, and research for the purpose of ensuring that all individuals with a medical need for it have access to pasteurized donor human milk. HMBANA was established in 1985, drawing together representatives of donor milk banks and members of the medical community.
