I-STUTE
i-STUTE is an interdisciplinary center for storage, transformation, and upgrading of thermal energy. It develops technologies that aim to reduce energy consumption and deliver cost-effective heating and cooling which will help the UK achieve its target of a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 80% by 2050. i-STUTE brings together cutting-edge engineering advances with economic, behavioral and policy expertise to produce solutions that are both technically excellent but also appealing to b... usiness, end-users, manufacturers and installers. The research center is funded through the UK Research Councils’ Energy Programme. It is a £5.3M project that is developed over 5 years involving four HEIs and an external academic, private and governmental organization network. The Centre involves technologists and researchers from the University of Warwick’s School of Engineering and Warwick Business School together with London South Bank University, the University of Ulster and Loughborough University.
