Certain USB devices, such as a printer or a hard drive, may always stay connected to your iMac. They can therefore be plugged into the rear ports of the iMac and left there without a problem. However, when you want to add files from your USB thumb, or transfer photos, or other day to day uses for a USB port - accessing them in the back can be a hassle! The iMacompanion solves that problem by giving you access to a front USB port while preserving the design of the iMac.
