IMR is a 3rd party tested world leader in Video Compression and Streaming for real-time critical applications such as AR/VR. Starting in early 2015, IMR was at the forefront of compression technology for Low-Latency (Realtime-Critical viewing) Applications including VR, identifying that there was no compression algorithm or streaming IP that was appropriate. At severe cost to usability, this technology seemed doomed to remain wired for the foreseeable future unless new ways of handling data over a wireless link were developed. Because of this early innovation, IMR is now positioned at the forefront of core technology for Cloud based AR/VR, with the aim to become a standard within the networking infrastructure that enables it. Combining Cloud Computing with AR/VR means reform of the internet as we know it, into a spatially enhanced aggregate that will become a veritable sandbox of physical and virtual interaction. This shift in consumption of digital content is set to be one of the biggest innovations in the 21st century as it aligns with key infrastructure enablers, such as the impending 5G network and high gigabit internet rollout.
