iNNERHOST, Inc. was formed in 1998 to provide shared and complex web hosting services to small and medium-sized businesses. The company, which was based in Miami, FL, provided its services throughout the United States with a growing presence in Latin America. In 2000, iNNERHOST received a venture capital investment of $15 million by Spire Capital to hire key talent, expand its Latin American strategy, and build out its state-of-the-art data center. On August 31, 2002, iNNERHOST was acquired (for... an undisclosed amount) by Interland, an Atlanta-based company, which was one of the largest providers of web-hosting services for small and medium-sized enterprises in the United States. Prior to the merger, iNNERHOST had nearly 150 employees and its customer base included approximately 13,000 shared hosting accounts and 1,500 dedicated hosting customers.
