IONGENICS ELECTROCHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES
iongenics develops and manufactures energy efficient, safe, and modular systems for green hydrogen generation. The systems are based on PEM electrolyzers which utilize a proprietary catalyst technology. iongenics hydrogen generators can be used in a wide range of applications such as power generation, metal processing, energy storage, hydrogenation reactors, fuel cells and laser cutting. iongenics was among a handful of companies selected to the KWORKS start-up accelerator program in January 202... 0. It was established in September 2020 after receiving support from TÜBİTAK (The Technological and Scientific Research Council of Turkey) 1512 program titled “Techno-venture Capital Support Program”. The co-founders of iongenics are Asst. Prof. Erdal Uzunlar from İzmir Institute of Technology and Prof. Can Erkey from Koç University. They have vast expertise and knowledge in electrochemical systems and hydrogen. iongenics is located at Technopark İzmir in Urla, İzmir, Turkey.
