Johnson County Community College (JCCC) in Overland Park, Kansas, has transfer agreements with over 100 colleges and universities throughout the region. In addition to transfer programs, Johnson County Community College offers professional degree programs and programs for senior citizens and current high school students. JCCCโ€™s programs of study are divided into distinctive academic clusters. These include: * Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources * Arts, A/V Technology and ... Communications * Health Science * Humanities and Social Sciences * Marketing * Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Johnson County Community Collegeโ€™s student life includes performing arts events and student clubs and organizations. JCCC even has an on campus art museum. JCCC is also home to the Brown and Gold club, an organization that offers senior citizens a reduced rate on continuing education classes. High school students may also take advantage of JCCCโ€™s programs by enrolling in one of the degree programs designated for currently enrolled high school students. General admissions requirements include a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must also submit an application and, in some cases, transcripts or GED scores. About a dozen programs have additional admissions requirements. These include: * Cosmetology * Fire Science * Nursing * Paralegal Studies * Respiratory Care JCC also has a separate set of admissions requirements and procedures for high school students, Brown and Gold members, visiting students and those in foster care. JCCC awards different types of financial aid to students who meet income and other eligibility requirements. Aid sources include work-study, loans, federal grants and state, local and national scholarships. To apply for financial aid, applicants must submit a FAFSA. Veteranโ€™s benefits are also available.
