JOINT BIOENERGY INSTITUTE
Joint BioEnergy Institute is developing biofuels and liquid fuels derived from the solar energy stored in plant biomass that can replace gasoline, diesel, and jet fuels. They are dynamic, integrated organizations that bring the sunlight-to-biofuels pipeline under one roof. Here, a multi-disciplinary team of scientists combines their expertise, exchanges ideas and collaborates to develop genetic, biological, computational and robotic technologies and accelerate the process of discovery.
