KARNATAKA HEALTH PROMOTION TRUST

KHPT is a non-profit organization that leads targeted programs to promote the health and well-being of Indian communities. KHPT has a single goal in mind: to reduce HIV prevalence in Karnataka's high-priority areas. The initiative's success allowed it to be scaled up at the national and global levels, and KHPT is a testing ground for new ideas. They serve community-centered, evidence-based, context-specific, life cycle approach, scale-up driven, sustainability-based, awareness, adolescent health... , health care, primary health care, HIV-aids, tuberculosis, empower, wellbeing, partnership, research, technology. Evidence generation, grassroots community connections, and government interactions are all part of their initiatives' DNA. They learned and commented on their decade-long experience with these qualities, leading them to go beyond HIV to four other theme areas. KHPT is currently working on tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, MNCH, adolescent health, and primary health care. Their audacious social objective is to use a systems change approach to achieve population-level health impact. They work as a catalyst, driving action to empower and promote the health of the most disadvantaged populations, both directly and through solid partnerships across the country, with a team of over 400 people. They strive relentlessly to ensure that India meets SDG 3: good health and community wellbeing.
