Keiretsu Forum was established in San Francisco, in September 2000, initially to provide Californian private investors with a professional organization for networking and investment opportunities. “Keiretsu” is a Japanese term that defines a group of company members with a common objective. At present, Keiretsu Forum is an international network of territorial associations that has over 800 associated investors, and with 18 local headquarters, in the US (Boise/Sun Valley, Bellevue/Eastside, Denver/Rockies, East Bay, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle/Northwest, Silicon Valley y Westlake Village/Ventura), in Beijing (China), London (UK), Paris (France) and Barcelona and Madrid (Spain). Keiretsu Forum defines itself as an international association of private investors, of business leaders and entrepreneurs, who organize themselves into a capital forum to finance small and medium growing enterprises. Its members attend regularly presentations, in restricted forum, on business investment opportunities previously identified and chosen by Keiretsu Forum professional staff.
