KNOWLEDGE ECOLOGY INTERNATIONAL

Knowledge Ecology International is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization focused on social justice, particularly for the most vulnerable population, including people with low-income and marginalized groups. It is searching for better outcomes, including new solutions to the management of knowledge resources. Knowledge Ecology International undertakes and publishes research and new ideas; engages in global public interest advocacy; provides technical advice to governments, NGOs, and... firms; enhances transparency of policy making; monitors actions of key actors; and provides forums for interested persons to discuss and debate ‘Knowledge Ecology’ topics. It is particularly drawn to areas where current business models and practices by businesses, governments, or other actors fail to address social needs, and where there are opportunities for sustainable improvements. Knowledge Ecology International was established in 2006 as an independent legal organization, integrating the staff and work program of the Consumer Project on Technology, while redefining the mission of the organization.
