Kokam began as a company focused in manufacturing polymer processing equipment, including polyester film and polarized film manufacturing systems, and breathable (porous) film casting systems. In the late 90โs, Kokam expanded its business to designing and manufacturing Lithium-ion/Polymer secondary batteries and succeeded in developing the worldโs first high capacity Lithium Polymer batteries. Since then, Kokamโs state-of-the-art battery solutions have been widely utilized across the world and recognized for its superior characteristics. With over 150 battery related patents and 500MWh of proven field performance, Kokam will continue its endeavors in developing innovative, high-tech battery solutions.
