KWANTIX
KWantix investment system used the big data, proprietary analytics & algorithms to predict tomorrow’s electricity price (the “Real-Time” market) in each of over 2000 “nodes”. It then created a series of long & short bids today in the “Day Ahead” market. KWantix makes money by correctly predicting the difference between these market prices. The Day Ahead/Real-Time electricity markets are large and well-developed markets in North America that were created over the last 10 years to make electricity markets more efficient. The kWantix approach was a unique long/short trading strategy uncorrelated to any other strategy, it uses no leverage and is 100% liquid every day. kWantix believed that it is the only firm in North America that employs this strategy.
