LA-Mas is a multidisciplinary, non-profit community design organization. The organization is committed to offering architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture services to support and strengthen communities in need. Through research and planning, it promotes culturally-sensitive design and innovative infrastructure focusing on economic, environmental, and social sustainability. LA-Mas offers a bottom up approach to challenge and re-define the traditional expectations of civic engagem... ent in the built environment. Through intensive research, and by chiefly involving the user and the community, it works to uncover new questions that lead to innovative solutions and designs in the areas of public health and community space. LA-Mas was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
