LABRIDA

Labrida is a Norwegian company established in August 2012 by periodontal and biomaterials scientists, developing and marketing innovative products for maintenance treatment of dental implants. This focus is motivated by the strong demand for better and more user-friendly instruments addressing peri-implant disease, a rapidly growing world-wide, clinical problem. Our products are well scientifically documented, patented (pending) and regulatory approved (CE marked). The core competencies are based on decades of research on biomaterials and later peri-implant disease, as well as clinical experience, by two of the founders Dr. J. Caspar Wohlfahrt and Prof. S. P. Lyngstadaas (Both at University of Oslo, Faculty of Dentistry). Labrida AS supplies “products by dentists for dentists and dental hygienists.” Labrida has recently launched its first product, LABRIDA BioClean™. This is a novel, advanced biopolymer based (chitosan) revision tool for non-surgical treatment of peri-implant mucositis. The product is clinically validated and regulatory approved (CE marked). To further document the product, Labrida is currently conducting a European multi-center study, also addressing additional indication areas for the instrument. Labrida is ISO 13485:2003 certified.More
