LI focuses on disruptive 4IR technology companies in rapidly expanding sectors like AI, IoT, and biotech. One of LI’s core priorities is investing in companies run by women and people of color, but not just for the sake of equity and access. By investing in diverse founders, LI makes its portfolio more robust – VC gatekeepers have been funneling capital to the same types of founders (who all went to the same schools, happen to be in the same parts of the country, etc.) for too long. While LI... will work with any company that has a compelling vision and the right team to make it a reality, discovering what other firms have overlooked is our specialty. LI is eager to work with early-stage companies, preferably in the pre-seed phase with sub-$2 million valuations but with market potential of more than $10 million in annual sales within three years. But most importantly, we want to work with founders who are out to do more than make money. We founded LI to fund the companies that are building 4IR solutions to the most pressing problems the world faces, from climate change to food insecurity.
