Leeward Community College (LCC) is an ideal educational institution for students either seeking careers in the creative arts or in high-demand technical and medical fields. Located in Pearl City, Hawaii, just outside of Honolulu, Leeward Community College offers more than 60 associate degree and certificate programs. LCC’s Culinary Arts and Automotive Technology programs are particularly impressive, having received national recognition. Another of LCC’s notable programs is the Television Production division. A unique program that is more like something seen at a four-year university, the Television Production major leads to an associate degree or certificate. Students study everything from lighting, to audio, directing, cinematography and editing. With an open admission policy, Leeward only requires that students be at least 18 years old, or that they have a high school diploma, or GED. Job placement assistance and free tutoring are some of the services offered at Leeward.
