Southern students who want to become well-versed in the culinary arts in every facet from professional cooking skills to critical business techniques should consider the Louisiana Culinary Institute in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. To take the first step in turning your food service industry dreams into reality, you can apply by submitting your official high school transcript or GED, complete the Wonderlic or COMPASS test and sending in three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a member of the food industry. Additional admissions requirements include completing the Louisiana Culinary Institute’s own Culinary Mathematics entrance exam, schedule an interview with faculty members and a personal essay.
