M.U.R. PROJECT
The COVID-19 health crisis that France and the world are going through has become a serious humanitarian crisis. Today, the medical world lacks ventilators to be able to work properly and save as many lives as possible. Since Monday, March 16, a citizen collective composed of doctors, community leaders, humanitarian staff, and scientists have been working on the creation of an emergency artificial respiration device, inexpensive and easily reproducible. The manufacturing laboratory "Le Club Sand... wich Studio", at the origin of the collective, has designed a Low Cost – Low Tech respirator by promoting the use of components accessible to as many people as possible. Today, after having made different versions following the feedback of the tests made by several resuscitation doctors, our device is ready to be tested. Specialized bench testing is underway and is the first step in the certification process we have undertaken. Also, to face together this health crisis, we make available on this site the first prototype version of the M.U.R (designed from the equipment we had in our studio/workshop on the day of confinement and that brought by our partners).
