MacMurray College is a small, private college in Jacksonville, Illinois. In addition to its friendly and personal community, which affords extensive interaction among students and between students and faculty, MacMurray College offers bachelor’s degrees in preparation for a range of professions. Special degrees for adults and seniors and a range of scholarship opportunities are also available. Admissions requirements for first-time freshmen include a high school diploma or GED, submission of ACT or SAT scores and an application. Senior citizens who are interested in attending need only fill out an application for admission. MacMurray also has transfer agreements with a number of community colleges, and its website features guidebooks on application procedures for students from these schools. Financial aid comes in all forms. In addition to scholarships based on academic merit and other factors, eligible students may receive loans, grants and work-study awards.
