MACNAS
Macnas is an internationally acclaimed Irish performance and spectacle company based on the campus of the National University of Ireland Galway city. For 30 years Macnas has successfully staged ground-breaking spectacle to huge audiences at festivals and celebrations at home and around the globe. Macnas is still firmly rooted on the streets of Ireland with its highly acclaimed annual Macnas street spectacle, which takes place in their home town of Galway. Founded in 1986 on the grounds of Galway’s University it continues to be Ireland’s leading Irish spectacle company, made up of a large ensemble of artists, prop-makers, performers and musicians based in Ireland and abroad.
