Since MDP’s formation in 1992, the firm has raised aggregate capital of more than $26 billion and has completed over 140 investments. A flexible investment approach, encompassing both buyout and growth equity investments, expertise in five dedicated industry verticals and a focus on upper middle market and middle market companies have been and continue to be key tenets of MDP’s ... investment strategy. Prior to forming MDP, its founders built a $2.6 billion management buyout and venture capital portfolio at First Chicago Corporation dating back to the early 1980s.
