Marex Marine and Risk Consultancy (Marex) is the trading name of Marex Marine Services Limited. Marex was formed in 1998, in response to a requirement for safety case authorship, which was introduced under the Cullen Report, following the Piper Alpha platform disaster. Marex now comprises a safety/risk department and a marine department.
