Its software products include SANavigator, a storage network management application used to manage the SAN, including other switch vendors; Enterprise Fabric Connectivity Manager, a storage network management application used to configure and manage SANs; and SANvergence, a collection of software tools for managing a multiprotocol storage fabric consisting of McDATA switches and gateways. The company also provides professional services, support, and education that enable businesses to create SANs. McDATA Corporation was acquired by Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. in 2006.
