The application features buddy lists, file transfers, multi-server connections, IPv6, SSL encryption, proxy support, UTF-8 display, customizable sounds, spoken messages, tray notifications, and message logging. mIRC was founded in 1995 by Khaled Mardam-Bey and is based in London.
