NYRA MEDICAL
MitraPlug has created a catheter-plug technology for repairing a leaky mitral valve in the heart. This adjustable device needs only a two-inch surgical incision and can be inserted directly into the heart. Then the cardiologist can use the catheter to adjust the size and position of the plug to correct the leakage. When correctly fitted, the catheter is removed, and the incision is closed, leaving only a small scar.
