MODERN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY
Modern Energy is the result of over twenty five years of collaboration between its principals; Ron Amberger and John DeFrees. Both, for many years, were associated in different capacities with Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Ron was both professor and head of the mechanical and energy engineering technology programs at RIT. Both met when John was a senior in mechanical engineering and worked together on research projects at the RIT Research Corporation. John left RIT after 10 years and ... entered consulting practice in Syracuse, NY later he became a founding partner of CDH Energy in Cazenovia, NY. Both Ron and John hold PE licenses in NY State. Ron has degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Pennsylvania State University, John is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. They have published many papers and articles on energy topics. They have won local, regional and national awards for their projects. Both are enthusiastic about thermodynamics.
