Moltex Energy is developing a next-generation nuclear reactor that can produce clean electricity at a lower cost than fossil fuels. The technology is based on molten salt fuel in conventional fuel assemblies. Existing stockpiles of spent nuclear fuel can be used as the fuel source and the electricity produced is entirely flexible.
