MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY - NORTHERN
Montana State University-Northern in Havre, Minnesota is a small residential university dedicated to offering degrees in a specific set of career and academic fields. Offering a handful of degrees in the arts and sciences, Montana’s academics are primarily focused on career-based fields including Engineering, Automotive Science, Business, Computer Science, Nursing and Teacher Education. A small school with fewer than 1,500 students, Montana State’s environment lends itself to intimacy and... a personal learning experience. Since many students do live on campus, there are numerous opportunities for getting to know other students. Student life is another way to meet others while developing academic and other skills. Student organizations primarily consist of academic clubs, with some recreational and sports offerings as well. Montana State’s services help students through tutoring and academic and career counseling. Students who are under 21 or who graduated from high school fewer than three years ago are required to take the ACT or SAT for admission to Montana State. Students ought to apply for admission at least one month prior to the start of the semester that they plan to begin attending. Financial aid is also available to eligible students through a combination of sources, which may include loans and grants.
